Description
A vital tool for Rune-Makers of any specialty. This is used to carve runes into a wide variety of surfaces- trees, jewelry, metal, sometimes even skin. A runic graver looks much like a pencil- broad body, with a head that gets narrow towards a pointed tip. Gravers are generally monochromatic, most commonly gray or black, though other, more exotic colors have been used in the past.

Runic Gravers have a very delicate array of space manipulation runes carved along their sides. These runes enable a Rune-Maker to twist the center of their graver to change its circumference and widen or narrow the tip. Mass must always be conserved, so as the graver narrows it lengthens proportionally.

The final test of any Rune-Maker in training is to create their own Runic Graver, using their teacher's Graver as a baseline and starting off with a sheet of metal. Once assembled, Runic Gravers are nigh-indestructible, but during the creation process they can be exceedingly fragile- it often takes an enterprising Rune-Maker six months to craft their Graver.
